• A work of true genius, the Mini not only became an icon of the 'Swinging Sixties' but also influenced a whole generation of car designers and is widely considered to be the most influential car of the 20th Century. When it arrived in August 1959, it was sold and marketed under BMC's two main brand names, Austin and Morris, though apart from the badging, both the Seven and the Mini-Minor were virtually identical.

• On offer here is a first full year of production Morris Mini-Minor with a confirmed Heritage Certificate build-date of 30th November 1960.
• The car was supplied by BMC dealer Caffyns Ltd to its first owner on 9th January 1961.

• He underwent a sympathetic restoration in 2018 and was beautifully refinished in his original Honolulu Blue and re trimmed in period correct Tartan Red. It appears essentially standard apart from the larger aluminium radiator and Cooper wheels in Old English White. Currently in rude health after a recent tune, he is 'turn key and button start' (literally). Sporting the incredible 848cc (850) 34bhp A series engine this Mini isn’t going anywhere fast but the early Mini's make a wonderful sound and this is what the Mini should be, the pure essence of driving enjoyment! Monty still has drum brakes all around as he left the factory. The simplicity of the early Mini is quite beautiful.
