Look who's back, Rupert! Our most charming Mini we have offered to date.

He's a 1972 Mini 1000 that is in totally original condition.

Painted in stunning Aqua blue (the best Mini colour in my opinion) and paired to the perfectly simple black contrasting vinyl front & rear seats with matching door cards. Black carpets, original door furniture and matching black gear knob. The centre binnacle houses all the important info, 90 mph speedo, water temp & oil pressure. I LOVE the original Morris steering wheel too. Spot the working original radio also.

He's running his original 998cc 42 bhp engine that travelled just 34,893 miles from new! Recently he's had a total gearbox rebuild by John Guess. Comes with a total and comprehensive history. This mini has led a very charmed life indeed. Just 3 owners from new and has wanted for nothing. It shows in his condition today, having never been welded or painted, he presents immaculately. The history file that comes with him is substantial and includes his original sales invoice from Sycamore (Stamford) Ltd, makes for great reading.  He cost £763.51 on the 14th August 1972, seat belts were £9.43, 2 wing mirrors £5 and finally the rear de-mister at a whopping £0.85p (oh how times have changed).

In summary Rupert is one of the best to date, he just oozes charm, starts on the button and drives wonderfully. He's got it all! I LOVE this Mini and I couldn't resist when Luke Cooper (his lucky winner) offered me him back.
