Where to start with this outstanding Mini......

Fully restored 1989 Racing Flame, lots of new metal including complete floor, boot floor, rear end, rear valance, inner wings, front wings, A panels, front valance, door skins, rear quarters, rear door bins, inner & outer sills, door steps, rear & front inner arches, complete scuttle and more. This is basically a brand new shell, all heritage panels where used. The shell was then seam sealed and raptored for the ultimate future proofing. The colour of SVR Estoril blue was applied beautifully with contrasting black roof, arches, mirrors, bumpers and custom lower stripe. Spot the florescent yellow pinstriping. Everything else is brand new chrome. A complete clear lens kits looks awesome. Finally a brand new set of 13x7 inch black & silver Mamba wheels finish the exterior off perfectly.

Internally Hux continues to shine, again everything is new. The custom 1 of 1 union jack front seats with matching rears, door cards, parcel shelf are wonderful. Brand new black carpets. Alloy door furniture, gear knob and black leather steering wheel feel quality. Upgraded alloy and black dash houses all the important info including, speedo, rev counter, fuel and temperature gauges. Also a CD player is housed here connected to the speakers in the rear parcel shelf. Black top and bottom dash rails are hard to find now. The decision was made to leave the headlining out to expose the beautifully painted roof and to add to the race feel.

Under the bonnet Hux is taken to the next level, here sits a highly tuned DH racing 998cc engine. The modifications include, +60 pistons, stage 3 worked head, skimmed, ported & polished, Duplex timing, re ground +20 and lightened crank and so much more. HS4 1 1/2 carb with refined Red jet needle, This is all paired to a straight through exhaust that sounds epic! Fletcher alloy rad and silicone pipes take care of the cooling requirements. The gear box has had the same treatment along with a longer drive for those motorway journeys. Diff rebuilt (planet gears and pin) helps keep it all in a straight line under hard acceleration. Everything else is new or refurbished, this Mini is as good underneath as he is on top. Protec adjustable shocks, adjustable Hi Los are some of the upgrades to the suspension. 8.4 drilled & grooved discs along with 4 pot callipers, brand new rear brakes and braided hoses take care of all the stopping requirements. Radius arms rebuilt, new bushes everywhere. Check out the colour matched running gear, the attention to detail on this build is second to none.

One of the best minis to date and a certain concours winner. He's also got the punch to be a a little b road blaster.  Fully documented and over 200 photographs of this outstanding restoration and rebuild.
