Purchased in 2010 as an MOT failure the next 10 years were spent bringing her back from the brink. The shell was completely stripped, media blasted and epoxy primed the fresh metal included heritage bonnet, wings, front panel, scuttle, sills, A panels, door skins & more. The under body areas were coated with tinted Raptor truck bed liner before the whole car was sprayed in 2K Island blue with an old english white roof as the builder wanted the retro look. The arches were painted in the same shade and all of the accessories have been replaced with brand new stainless steel examples. This is one of the finest restoration I have seen.

Under the bonnet sits the original 998cc engine and gearbox that has been freshly rebuilt and modified. Done by Minisport, Rebored by +20, brand new Nural pistons and a Minisport polished crank, the cylinder head was also converted to unleaded at the same time. The gearbox was also fully rebuilt with all new bearing etc. The subframes and suspension was totally rebuilt with new cones, shocks, bushes, bearing etc. New callipers, discs, drums, wheel cylinders etc. New clutch, everything is new or refurbished. 8 spoke alloys wrapped in Yokohama A539 rubber keep you stuck to the the road.

Internally comfort was the aim, so the addition of a later "Smarties" grey Sprite interior with all new carpets plus the full sound deadening and new headlining. Everything else is original and in mint condition. A Cooper leather rimmed steering wheel and gearknob just lift it above standard. A nice sound system has been installed from Pioneer with speakers that makes for a nice upgrade.
