Meet Cedric. Our GREATEST ever offering! This is truly remarkable!


A fully restored Austin Mini 970 Cooper S. The RAREST production Mini Cooper ever made! They only made 963 970 S's in total in 1964 and early 1965. Austin made up 393 of these for the UK market, these are also the MOST valuable of the Cooper S's.


Produced on the 7th December 1964 and dispatched on the 8th to H A Saunders in Worcester. Registered to his first owner on the 8th February 1965. Just 5 owners in his lifetime and with the most recent since 1995.


He's just been through a total restoration by marked specialists Tony Ennion of Ennion's workshop commissioned by me. There is an awful lot of original metal work retained but the restoration included front wings, front valance, bonnet, A panels, lower screen scuttle, doors, rear valance and a few other small repairs. He retains his original floors and sills which is outstanding. The decision was made very early on to go with originality. So tartan red paint with a contrasting black roof as he left the factory was the chosen finish. Comes with a complete photographic file. I love the look of the 10" Rose Petal alloys so decided on a full set of those with sticky rubber. All original or new stainless has been fitted.


Under the bonnet sits his original 970cc engine. This has been fully rebuilt by Headshop in Warrington, with the additions of a MiniSpares Evolution camshaft, oil pump and upgraded Duplex gears. His original gearbox has also had a total rebuild. I've currently done 54 miles in it and of course it needs running in up to 1000 miles.


Internally we have all new or original refurbished everything, his original seat frames were stripped, restored and re trimmed. All new door cards and trims were ordered. Newton Commercial Tartan red carpets. Original clocks, steering wheel, heater and switch panel are retained.
