Meet Hendrix, our 1380 sleeper Mini 30!

Hendrix started life in 1989 as a limited edition Mini 30 (celebrating 30 years of the Mini). Today he presents the same visually but it's a whole different story under the bonnet and chassis.

Fully restored 3 years ago to an outstanding level by a leading mini specialist. This included lots of new metal and a full repaint in stunning Cherry red. The owner had already decided on the sleeper look so took the decision to have him put back to totally original spec externally. So wheel arch extensions in black, body painted door mirrors and all new chrome were added, the only addition you will notice is the 2 front driving lamps that come on with full beam and he decided to only reinstall the limited edition decals and not the stripes to give a hint of something different.

Internally the same theme continues but with a few choice upgrades. So you'll spot the absolutely mint original mini 30 limited edition interior with badged seats, matching door cards and black carpets. The big upgrade is the cooper walnut dash that houses all the important info such as speedo, rev counter, water temp & fuel. You'll also see the addition of an oil pressure gauge (a must on anything spicy), a CD player and speakers in the dash and under the rear seats along with an upgraded black leather steering wheel, Cooper leather gearknob and alloy door furniture finish the interior off perfectly.

Under the bonnet sits an upgraded 1380cc masterpiece. Having had all the usual work that you'd expect including a multitude of MED, Swiftune and Omega parts. lots of lightened and balanced work was carried out at the same time along with stage 2 head work and a complete gearbox rebuild. Paired to a Hiff 44 carb, K&N air filter and a full Maniflow exhaust this Mini sounds epic and goes like a rocket. 105 bhp! Some tasty suspension and braking upgrades can be found including Spax shocks, Hi Lo's, adjustable tie bars and lower arms. AP calliper's, EBC pads & brand new spaced drums take care of all the braking requirements. 12x5 inch alloys wrapped in the best Yoko A539 rubber keeps you stuck to the road. Just had full service including dizzy.

Sleeper Mini's are some of my personal favourites and this is one of the best. Comes with piles of history and invoices of over £12k in just the last 3 years, Hendrix is a very well cared for example.
