Meet Holmes!
He's a work of art with just 11,563 miles from new!
Originally supplied by Tristar Croydon ltd in 1998. Being finished in the rarest & most amazing two-tone livery of volcano orange with contrasting white roof, stripes, side decals and mirrors. Black arches cover the original 12x4.5 inch Minilite alloy wheels wrapped in Yoko A539 tyres, these just look awesome. Of course everything else is chrome. Special mention needs to be made to the extra lights. Later coopers come with lots of nice extras safey features like side impact bars, air bag and seat belt pretensioners.
Internally is where these later Minis really shine. Opening the door you are greeted with the upgraded cream & black half leather interior with matching door cards, black carpet which just transforms the feeling. The two-tone leather clad steering wheel paired with the wooden Cooper dash, cream leather gear knob and black door accessories just lift this above your standard Mini. Cream dials with speedo, rev counter and the extra centre 3 gauges including volts, clock & oil temperature. The drivers & passenger door pockets along with the glove box make for useable spaces.
Under the bonnet you'll find the punchy 1275cc MPI 8v engine producing 63 BHP with 70 ib-ft torque, getting to 60 MPH in 12.2 seconds and going all the way to 90 MPH, this is more than enough for modern driving and of course feels rather fast 4 inches from the ground. Paired to a 4 speed gearbox with a longer drive for motorway drivers, this flies along. Holmes has travelled just 11,563 miles from new with a complete and comprehensive service history including stamped original book pack. He was with the same family from new until 2020 then in 2 private collections since. Running gear wise these had upgraded suspension from factory.
These were £9425.00 plus extras when new and are now trading at triple that for super low mileage/owner versions like Holmes. Like most minis these are increasing in value, so why not get in the mix to win an appreciating British icon for a few pounds.
This is the best example in a stunning colour combination I've seen and is extremely collectible & extremely valuable! The perfect collector piece, weekend classic and show winner. Could also be in a museum.
