Meet Aston! Giveaway competition number 50! He's the best yet!
He's a 1973 Austin Mini thats been fully restored and painted in a ONE OFF shade of grey, its not even got a name! Contrasted with a black roof & group 2 arches. 12x6 deep dish JBW anthracite alloys wrapped in Nankang rubber work perfectly. Pay special attention to the one off custom grill, its a work of art! All the usual chrome is brand new, the upgrade headlights are exceptional, limo tinted windows finish the luxury feel off. Aston had been to my detailer for a full cut and polish, the paint is exceptional!
The interior has had the same luxury treatment and you will spot lots of one off custom bits but let's start with the C&S custom tan leather diamond stitched seats with matching door cards. Full Newton commercial moulded carpets look amazing also. Before the new interior was fitted the entire shell was sound proofed, this Mini has Bentley/Radford vibes. Spot the Cooper door furniture, rare indeed! moving onto the custom dash and centre console, just look at it, the quality of this is remarkable, housing all the important information, speedo, Rev counter, Oil pressure, Battery volts & Amps, Fuel and water temp. Below is where the normal switch panel would be but here is a retro looking radio with all the modern tech you'd expect! Also included is a speaker. The centre console below houses all the buttons including lights, horn, hazards, fog light and push button start (Yes you read that correctly) Another speaker is also housed here plus a concealed heater! Custom turned gear knob, Lights and wiper stalk! new head-ling and Wood & Alloy steering wheel finish the interior off perfectly.
Under the bonnet the theme continues, the brand new built 1293cc engine with a fast road/rally Sports R Kent Camshaft kit, upgraded everything including Crank, pistons, head work, full exhaust system etc. Freshly rebuilt gear box and new clutch gives this the new and performance feeling! This is an extremely fast and amazing sounding Mini. The underside has of course had all the same treatment, everything is new, new heritage front & rear subframes, Spax shockers, adjustable tie bars and Camber arms, KAD rear arms. This is simply stunning.
He's been built as a personal project for someone who restores Aston Martin DBS and other very special cars, its the best over ever seen. In summary this is a one off Mini and has it all.
