Say hello to Flip! Another MiniWorld magazine featured beast!
Originally a 1100 Clubman but is now something very special indeed.
The car had been off the road since 2006 prior to being bought. Flip was already a stripped project needing all the usual panels replacing, sills , A panels , front panel , battery box, floor sections etc. Fully professionally repainted in Inca yellow with a contrasting black roof which was her original colour and just makes the her pop. Everything has been either replaced or refurbished during the restoration. All this was done on a roll over jig so every single component has been off the car and was either replaced or refurbished. Group 4 arches in black and custom Mini side decals plus the spot lamps, black mirrors and all fresh stainless accessories look awesome.
The engine is a custom build by MCCS race engines. Comes with the full build spec which is impressive and lengthy.
The headlines are, it’s a fully worked 1293 stage 3 fast road A+, running a 12g940 fully worked head, balanced conrods, MCCS GT cam, Verner timing, Swiftune cam followers and a HIF44 carb.
100 bhp & 98 ibft and she absolutely flys!
The gearbox was rebuilt also and is running a cross pin differential, central oil pickup and is slightly geared up for smoother running at higher speeds. This was at a cost of £8500, this engine has only covered 6000 miles since being built.
GAZ shocks with new hi-lows and new rubbers all round take care of the handling needs.
Cooper s front disc conversion look after the stopping.
4.5x10" John Brown Minilites wheels wrapped in Yoko A008 rubber.
LCB manifold & an RC40 large bore exhaust just sounds epic!
The front subframe is original and has been completely refurbished, the rear subframe is brand new.
The interior has been completely renewed with vinyl GT style covers (with extra padding) and doorcards with new black carpets. Black top and bottom dash rails. Smiths rev counter and oil pressure gauge. Mountney steering wheel in black finishes the interior off perfectly.
Tax & mot exempt. Historic registered and ULEZ compliant.
Since completion its only been driven in dry weather and has always been dry stored.
There's also a MASSIVE £10,000 TAX FREE cash alternative if you don't fancy Flip for some insane reason!
