Say hello to Brian.
A fully restored 1993 Mini Cooper with a few twists. Lots of metal was replaced during the restoration including complete floor pans from M Machine, rear quarters, rear end, rear valance, wings, front valance, A panels, bonnet and more, all of these came from BMH. This was all done using a jig. The paint was entrusted to Paintology in Nottingham and the shade of choice is Nardo grey with a black contrasting roof and black arches. A stainless steel grill with built in spot lamps, stainless bumpers with overriders to give him that classic look. All other accessories are new, pay special attention to the DSN billet aluminium reverse & fog light bracket (a small sign of the level of quality of this build). Brand new Cooper S reverse rims in 10 inch finish the external look off perfectly!
Under the bonnet is where Brian goes another level. His beating heart is a Kieth Calver built 1293cc fast road Mini engine and gearbox thats producing a whopping 95 bhp with 98 ibft (rolling road setup by the famous Peter Burgess whom I know well). The spec of this is bonkers. a small selection is a Calver "sport" cylinder head, Calver 1:4 steel rockers, Russell racing 266ss cam (RARE) Mahle dished pistons, ACL bearing, ARP hardened steel sundries, IWIS Big-pin simplex chain, chain tensioner shoe, HIFF 44 carb with MED airfilter and the list goes on and on (full spec comes with the car on the invoice thats over £7000). The gearbox, flywheel & clutch has had the same level of treatment including competition centre oil pick up pipe, uprated diff, 1.3.1 final drive and pinion, MED lightened flywheel, AP 20% diaphragm, 190mm clutch plate and again the list goes on. Brian pulls like a train and sounds epic. Of course it's got a performance Maniflow stage 2 downpipe and full stainless exhaust system. The brakes is the famous 7.5 inch Cooper S set up paired with carbon pads (they are unbelievable) GAZ adjustable shocks, red dot cones, KAD adjustable rear brackets, adjustable tie bar and camber set up (all setup by Inracing in Nottingham) plus the aforementioned JBW Cooper S reverse rims wrapped in Yoko A008 rubber keeps you stuck to the tarmac. A brand new Autosparks full wiring loom makes sure of no electrical gremlins.
Internally the special theme continues, a CS custom upholstery Bentley diamond stitch black leather with white stitch on sport seats with matching door cards is just perfect. A brand new black headlining, brand new Newton Commercial carpets in grey, Smiths digital 130 mph speedo, Smiths oil pressure & temperature gauges, custom dash with Smiths rev counter, DSN billet door furniture and switch panel paired to Wired by Wilson toggle switches.
Brian's specification speaks for itself but to be clear he is an exceptional Mini thats got it all.
