Introduced in June 1992 and based on the flagship Mayfair 1275cc model, just 1,000 British Open Classic Minis were produced for the UK market. Finished in stunning British Racing Green with gold coachlines and 'Mini British Open Classic' Coat of Arms decals, the newcomer also sported black wheel arch extensions (now painted to match the body colour) / sill finishers and rode on Minilite-style 12inch alloy wheels again just been upgraded to 12 inch Superlight Gold alloys wrapped in Nankang rubber (with a matching spare) . A full-length electrically operated Webasto sunroof (just been redone and works perfectly) and opening rear windows allowed plenty of fresh air into the interior which features a cream leather steering wheel, stone beige Countryman tweed upholstery with leather inserts and green piping. Spot the upgraded seats on Barney, they are now Cobra classic buckets with matching rear cream leather seats and green piping, which are just stunning.

Purchased new on December 18th 1992, he's covered just 37,386 miles over the past thirty two years. He's clearly had a pampered life. He's recently had a small fortune lavished on him with a full restoration including lots of fresh metal and full respray last summer, is now ready for another 32 years of great motoring. The paint is just perfect!
