Meet Sally.
She is one of JUST 192 left on the road of the the super limited 1000 Rover Mini Sidewalks ever made!
Sally is the best you'll find having just had a total and comprehensive restoration, lots of new panels including floors were used along with a fresh paint job in her original Kingfisher blue. She presents as new with a few choice upgrades. Pay special attention to the quality of this paint job, better than original with matching painted wheel arches, new decals , painted door mirrors, upgraded weave chrome grill, brand new chrome bumpers, wipers and door handles, Aston fuel cap all finished off with a beautiful set of Supalight 12 inch grey alloys with chrome nuts. Worth a mention is the original old school AA badge painted in Kingisher blue. Everything on Sally has been refurbished or replaced with new.
The 1275cc engine has been converted to run a carburettor and an upgraded HIFF 44 was chosen for the extra punch. Originally she would have been an SPI but these are notoriously unreliable. Along with the upgraded carb & air filter a full stainless steel centre exit exhaust was added for both performance and sound. The gearbox has also been totally rebuilt by John at Guess Works (the best in the business). The engine has had several fresh coats of red paint to tie in with the other red painted accessories and interior bits. She is packing a punchy 60BHP! You'll have spotted the one off carb cover and the insanely beautiful rocker cover that cost over £250 alone! Notice the upgraded chrome bits along with upgraded pipes.
Stepping inside you wont find a better Mini interior. The blue & red tartan with plain blue upholstery is unique to the Sidewalk and presents in new condition. Matching door cards with 1/4 bottom clad in black to protect again scuffing and front storage pockets make for a useful space. Retaining her original door furniture and an original John Cooper leather steering wheel and alloy gear knob elevate it nicely. Brand new red carpets, CD player and a one off made matching cushion show you just how much love, time & money has gone into this Mini.
In summary Sally is as good underneath as on top and has huge concours potential. She presents like new and is the closest most of us will ever get to that new Mini experience. Spot the best sticker in the sticker window!
