Meet Ned!
The best Morris Mini Cooper S Evocation in the world! He's a carbon copy! Multiple show winning example!
A 1968 MKII painted in tartan red with a contrasting black roof. Has a brand new set of 10 x 4.5 inch Ultralite alloys wrapped in Falken FK-07E tyres. (I do also have the Cooper 10 x 3.5 steels with Dunlop classic tyres) All the chrome that you expect including bumpers with overriders presents perfectly. This Mini is spectacular.
Internally Ned can only be described as PERFECT! Sporting the upgraded sports reclining seat (worth a small fortune) full Cooper S interior in black. The central binnacle houses all the important info including speed, temp and oil pressure. Pull cord door openers, kick plates, upgraded leather steering wheel (again I have the original steering wheel) correct gearknob, black carpets, seat belts and sliding windows finish him off perfectly.
Under the bonnet sits a correct Cooper S 1275cc engine that has a 11 stud stage 3 balanced, ported and lighten head, twin carbs, Cooper S air box, this is a fast Mini and sounds epic! Having travelled only 1398 miles since being completed he feels like new. All the other running gear is Cooper S.
Offered here is truly something special, Ned our 1968 Morris Mini Cooper S evocation which was painstakingly put together by a former BMC engineer spanning over 10 years and over £14,000 spent on parts alone. The BMC engineer went to great lengths to replicate the Mk2 Cooper S. The hours of skilled work to build this car into the one it is today cannot be counted. It’s truly stunning and drives absolutely beautifully. No expense has been spared on building the engine, refurbishing the shell and fitting a complete new interior.
Comes with his heritage certificate and a massive file of invoices, history etc etc, totalling a small fortune of around £25k to build and currently has an agreed insurance value of £30k.
This stunning little car is almost impossible to tell form the real thing. For driving or showing it will gather crowds wherever it goes.
