Meet Gerty,

She started life in 1990 as a special edition Rover Mini Racing Flame Checkmate but is nothing like that now. In Feb 2019 the pervious owner began then what he thought was a quick tidy up but this very quickly became the typical story of in for a penny in for a pound. After quickly realising Gerty was in worse shape than anyone had thought, the decision was made to commission a specialist to handle the ground up restoration. The Real Mini Company was chosen to undertake this mammoth task. After some major surgery, pretty much all panels being replaced she was ready for some paint. The chosen colour was green and in particular, jungle green this is a BMW colour and is contrasted with a black roof.

The decision was then taken to go the whole hog, you can't put old bits back on a perfect shell right...... DAMN RIGHT! The engine & gearbox were sent away for a total rebuild with some extra spice. Being bored to 1098cc she now has plenty of extra punch and isn't yet run in. Everything on this Mini is either brand new or reconditioned. Of course all the underneath are brand new, Uprated Discs and Callipers, rear superfins, brand new Superlight alloys wrapped in Yoko rubber make sure of great road handling. Of course it's a given that it sounds epic.  This has a full photographic and documented build diary.

Now onto the interior, what works best with jungle green on a British icon........ Of course, Tan! This isn't just any tan, its saddle tan leather. Again, the best in the business were tasked with completing this, so J C S Custom trim were commissioned. I think you'll agree that it is nothing short of perfection. Internally she now sports the older style central speedo with the all important temperature and oil pressure gauges, beautiful door furniture and a stunning wooden and aluminium steering wheel finishes it all off.

There's not much else to say about this perfect Mini, its basically a brand new OEM Mini, that is waiting to go and win some trophies. It's a true credit to the builder and all the pros that helped.
